We've spent the last month slowly getting things torn apart and put back together at our house. It is finally starting to feel like home. A few things of note from this weekend:
- Working a lawnmower is like riding a bike. Even though it has likely been over 10 years since I've mowed, it came right back to me today when I started up our new mower and cut the grass at our house.
- No matter how old I get, there will always be something about the smell of fresh cut grass mixed with the smell of hot dogs on the grill and fresh corn on the cob that will take me right back to my childhood.
- There's something extra special about eating frozen pizza off paper plates when you're surrounded by your family and eating at your new patio table in beautiful, breezy summer weather. I can't wait for all the family dinners that we'll enjoy on our screened in porch for years to come!
Hopefully we'll be 90% moved after next weekend and officially living at the house. Pics to come once we're settled in!
