Pregnancy - 20 Weeks

Pregnancy: 20 weeks, 1 day

Sleep: Nothing new to report. Still sleeping, still not having to get up to use the bathroom, still snoring.

Gender: Baby's heartrate OWT. Supposedly if baby's heart rate is high it indicates girl, low indicates a boy. With the exception of one heart rate reading baby has had a rate above 155 each time. Caleb's was always in the 140s. So by this OWT, baby is a girl.

Names: No more discussion of names. Pretty sure we've got a girl name nailed down.

Feeling: We're all healthy again. My only symptom seems to be heartburn which is exacerbated by eating tomato based sauces and chocolate. I can give up the pasta, but not the chocolate!

Health: Everything is looking great. Had another appointment last week and baby's heart rate was 155.

Movement:
I may have spoken too soon. These kicks have gotten quite strong recently, so maybe we'll be able to feel movement on the outside sooner than I thought.

Belly:

Taken today at 20 weeks, 1 day

And let's take a look at just how much my belly (butt and boobs) have grown.

Next Appointment: Next appointment is at 26w on March 28th. I'll have my glucose test to check for gestational diabetes (GD). Despite the fact that I look like a whale and that my butt is just as big as my belly, my weight gain has been minimal, so I feel pretty good about not having GD.

Ha ha ha! You do not look like a whale! You cannot make whale comparisons until you are at least in the 30s (weeks that is). I love the side by side comparison shot. I want a tally at the end of which OWT wins out. Are you using the same (mysterious) girl name you had picked out for Caleb or a new one? Any boy names? What's your guess on gender so far? Sorry so many questions- I guess I need a good chat with you-too bad you're so far away!
