Babyproofing 101

Caleb gave us our first course in babyproofing where we learned that putting the changing table under the window is a bad idea. This can lead to chewing on curtains and attempting to pull the curtain rod off the wall. The simple fix - rearranging the room. So that's what we did. I also thought that I'd take the time to post some pictures of C's room since I haven't posted any with his curtains or the family tree. Here are the pictures from the original room setup, and below are the pictures showing the new "baby friendly" setup.

Changing table now safely away from all hanging objects. It is also nice because C is finally loving being able to look at the color block wall. Daddy's happy that all his hard work is being enjoyed!

View looking into the room from the doorway. The changing table used to be below that window.

A close up of the beautiful curtains that GranB made especially for Caleb to match the color block wall that Daddy and Pop Pop worked so hard on. (Well, if that's not a run-on sentence, I don't know what is.)

And finally, a close up of the family tree picture wall. The awesome pictures of Andrew and I were taken when C was just a week old, so we look pretty awful due to a lack of sleep. And, we have yet to add a picture of Caleb to the wall. He's just growing and changing so quickly that I'd be changing the picture out all the time. Maybe when he's 1 we'll start putting one in there. We've also bought additional frames to match these for the days when C has more cousins, brothers, and sisters. Some day (in a new house) I hope to use my incredible artistic skills to paint a tree on the wall behind this. Who am I kidding? Did you see the baseball glove that I painted (using a stencil no less)? I'll either have to commission my incredibly artsy friend, Cortney, to paint it; or I'll buy this or this or something comparable. Anyway, here's the pic.
