Pumpkin Patch
This year we headed to Simmons Farm for fall fun and to pick our pumpkin.
Heading out on the hayride.

First we explored some of the activities including at 100ft slide (video coming soon), corn maze, firetruck and tractor climb.

Then we headed out to the patch to pick our pumpkin. See that nice patch right there in the foreground of this picture...

...well that's not the one we went to. No, instead we hiked all the way over to the background of this picture up there where the corn is growing on the ridge. There were three "better" patches over there.
Daddy and Caleb hiking up the hill.

Here's the view back to the rest of the farm activities from the patch we picked our pumpkin in. See that white tent thing? That's where the tractor dropped us off.

Caleb and Daddy picking out our green pumpkin.

And heading back to the farm market on the hay ride. We had a great time, got a great pumpkin, and will definitely head back again next year.

Before: This room was COVERED in thick, thick wall paper.
After: With the help of family we stripped the wall paper off, sanded the walls, primed, and finally painted in Sherwin Williams Contented. We then did a gloss treatment in a striped pattern. We LOVE the result! Unfortunately, we don't really have any furniture for this space right now and likely won't for the foreseeable future. But it'll be ready when we do have furniture.

Currently storing some patio furniture in there while it is the off season for using our screened in porch.

Guest Bedroom/Bathroom Before: This was pretty much a blank slate as the previous owners hadn't touched it. The bedroom was painted white. The bathroom was wallpapered in a yellow floral print. Old carpet was green and smelled like cat pee.
Guest Bedroom/Bathroom After: Painted bedroom in Sherwin Williams Macadamia (leftover from the playroom). Tore down wall paper in the bathroom and repainted in SW Contented (leftover from the living room). New carpet throughout entire basement.
After pics:

Guest bedroom with view into the guest bathroom.

Playroom Before: Blank slate white walls. Cat pee carpet.
Playroom after: Painted 3 walls in SW Macadamia. Painted accent wall with bright white followed by bright colored squares. Caleb picked out the colors for the squares...ie. we let him pick paint samples and we selected one color from each card. New carpet throughout.

Photograph taken by my brother-in-law and a little bit of fall decor.
Looking from the family room leading back into the entry way and then into the living room. Half bath doorway on the immediate right, front door on the right beyond that, stairs on the left, living room directly in front.

The first of many posts about the new house as we slowly get things together and get rooms clean enough to take pictures to post on the interwebs. Of course Caleb's room was the first to get done.
Before: This room was a pre-teen boy's room before with 3 white walls and a red accent wall.
After: We painted using a color scheme to match his current bedding. New bed for Caleb since we decided to turn the crib back into a crib for when another baby comes along. New curtains from IKEA that I hemmed to the proper length. New curtain rods to match the sports theme. New ceiling fan.
